The “RD” Bones Reflex Deflex Longbow — Made in the USA
American-made craftsmanship. A carefully refined grip. Built for traditional archery.
The “RD” Bones is a handmade, 60-inch reflex deflex longbow featuring bamboo and fiberglass limbs with a laminated birch handle. Made in the USA and available in draw weights from 20 to 55 pounds, The Bones comes in right- and left-handed configurations.
Every bow includes a D97 Flemish twist bowstring and calf hair arrow rest.
With over 100 iterations behind the riser design, The Bones brings together thoughtful details for a comfortable grip, a natural sight picture, and easier arrow tuning.
Please allow a 4-week lead time.
A Riser Refined Through Over 100 Iterations
Center-cut arrow shelf
The arrow shelf is cut to center to help simplify arrow tuning.
A grip designed for a secure bow hand
The throat of the handle angles slightly to the right on right-handed bows and to the left on left-handed bows. This shape helps the grip settle securely into your palm at full draw, supporting comfort and consistent hand placement.
A sight window designed for canting
The sight window is cut at a slight angle so it becomes vertical as you cant the bow. The result is a natural sight picture for archers who prefer to shoot with their bow tilted.
Convex shelf and strike plate
The curved surfaces help minimize contact and friction as the arrow leaves the bow.
Signature Bones details
Each riser features The Bones coin, a serial number, and marked draw weight and AMO length.
